Property investment and development company Martin’s Properties, which owns one of the biggest mixed use property portfolios in Chelsea and has interests across the capital, has announced the appointment of Jane Moriarty  to the Board as non?executive director.

The board is chaired by Neil Sachdev, former director of Tesco, Sainsbury and Intu plc and currently non?executive chairman of Market Tech Holdings Ltd. Jane Moriarty succeeds Jonathan Hagger, who stepped down at the end of last month.

Jane is a former partner at KPMG who headed the firm’s London Region restructuring business for 12 years and was the first female partner appointed within that business. She also sat on the London Region board and was a member of KPMG’s Client Council. Jane is a fellow of Chartered Accountants Ireland.

Tom Martin, Managing Director, Martin’s Properties, said: “I am pleased this post attracted candidates of the highest calibre.  Jane brings a wealth of experience to the business gained within one of the top accounting practices.”

Tom Martin  added: “Jonathan, former finance director of the Grosvenor Estate, has played a central role in setting the scene for growth and expansion of the business. Most notably, he has been a key force behind our recent restructure and refinancing. I am grateful for his sound guidance and vision.
